The Brothers

The Brothers

Tour description

The Brothers are two small islands located 140 km southeast from Hurghada and 60km off El Quesir's coast. Diving there is mainly for experienced divers which love drop off's and current. Although diving the Brothers can be sometimes challenging, divers are often getting rewarded with with Shark sightings (Hammerhead Sharks, Tresher Sharks and Oceanic White Tip Sharks).
The larger island ist called Big Brother and has a large lighthouse on it. Under water the island is surrounded by beautiful reef walls dropping into the deep and a large plateau in the south, where Tresher Sharks can be seen. On it's northern tip is the wreck of the Numidia and a little bit to the west the wreck of the Aida. As the current is changing it's direction during the day, every dive done during the day is different.
Little Brother, a little south of Big Brother, does not have any wreck, but a cleaning station in the north, where Barracudas and Grey Reef Sharks can be seen often. The east side offers soft corals in all different colors and huge fence corals, whereas the westside has more hard corals and Turtles can often been spotted there.
On the way back to Hurghada, the boat will stop in Safaga to dive at the wreck of the Salem Express.
